Branch a map when the "what if" is real
A branch is for a different world, not a typo. Copy the spine, change one assumption, then compare readings.

A branch is for a different world, not a typo. If you only need a clearer label, edit the node. If the seed itself splits, fork.
When to branch
- Two futures share history but diverge on one assumption.
- You want a Diagnose reading for each path without mixing edges.
- A collaborator argues for a different seed; keep yours and theirs separate.
Name the branch after the changed assumption ("if we drop France office"), not "copy 2". Then run Diagnose on each and compare next moves.

How-to

Diagnose
When to run DiagnoseDiagnose costs a turn and freezes a reading. Use it when the graph stopped thrashing, not as a nervous tic.
